At the Outset
With the given large STL files, our task was to make the file 3D printable to different sizes for display and online viewing.
The Challenge
Optimizing a 3D design assembly file of size greater than 2GB containing over 1000 components for manufacturing, and examining the model to fix any issues.
Our Approach
We developed specialized software that reduces file size while preserving quality, identifies and resolves 3D printing workflow challenges, and incorporates textures and colors for web visualization.
Our Process
The workflow involved understanding the assembly's critical parameters, then categorizing work into planning, manual remodeling, algorithmic optimization, and final preparation. Components were divided into smaller pieces to accelerate printing and facilitate assembly.

The Result
The optimized engine is displayed at Bosch's Bengaluru facility and has spawned multiple replicas used for events and business development. The model now serves as an educational training tool for employees.
